Born in Richmond, Virginia, Jan's gravitation toward film stems from being an avid fan of exquisitely crafted fiction. From the poetic prose of Toni Morrison to the social commentary of Arundhati Roy, Miles has always found herself		attracted to the work of strong women with intellect and purpose. Now residing in New York, Jan is following a similar path. Having completed her JD, she is diligently working on her first novel and currently completing a children's book.
