I started in 1997, pressed up 500 copies of a single cassette
entitled Swivelin' Doors. I made mad noise in the streets
and it really dug me deep into the passion of making music...
people appreciating it. From there in early 99, I released In
Real Life, a beautifully marinated 13 song album. In May 2000,
I was introduced to Mp3.com by a friend and by late 2000 the sophomore
album Its in da Blood exploded on mp3 and held #1 Best
Selling CD for almost 2 months. I made alot of $$$, gained alot
of new avenues and really made a name for myself online. Tracks
like UBU, I
Live, I Love it , I Spit it and Paper n Paint were
selected for various features and mp3 syndicated radio shows.
The e-mails from record companies started coming in along with
a lot of other offers but as of now no contracts have been signed.
I am currently working on a 3rd Album, Muzicman, with various
Mp3 producers and other local ones as well. This is gonna be something
special. - L Perfex

Formed in '98, 'OTHER BROTHERS' is actually a collaboration of
two solo acts, Steve Black and Daye Greene. Jerrold 'J' Hill was
producing music for both artists and was the first to notice the
connection. "They seemed to hit it off instantly," says Hill.
"We would be at parties, or at the club, and these clowns would
get to crackin' jokes and cuttin' up, and before long everybody
would be laughing." Still separate acts, the two began critiquing
each other's work. While their styles were completely different,
Hill realized that their content was identical. "I would listen
to these cats and realize that they would sound perfect together,
almost a musical marriage. I realized it before they did." After
a few collaborations, there was no separating them. Every song
became a contest. Steve's lyrics versus Daye's delivery. Daye's
abstract metaphors versus Steve's obscure similes, but despite
the competition the chemistry was always there. Always tasty and
often tasteless, 'OTHER BROTHERS' definitely has something rap
music needs.

| Non-Prophets |
The Non-Prophets are a couple of straightedge disaholics who have
nothing better to do than create amazing hip-hop. This up-and-coming
hip-hop phenomenon is another branch off of The Secret Service
crew and consists of big-nosed Joey
Beats on production, and small-dicked Sage
Francis on vocals. This duo is dangerous if for nothing other
than their hateful animosity towards a mainstream culture that
would never accept them no matter how tight they rolled their
acid washed jeans in 8th grade.
