Listen to Akrobatik

Akrobatik
Akrobatik, Detonator's flagship artist, is one of hip-hop's brightest up-and-comers. Ever since he exploded on the scene with his first single, "Ruff Enuff" b/w "Woman" back in 1998, people haven't been able to get Akro off their minds. Boasting a presence on stage that is amongst the best in the business, Ak's razor-sharp delivery and keen wit always keeps the listeners on their toes. MCs with as much versatility as Akro are few and far between. Whether lacing a straight battle track ("The Flow," for example), showing love to the ladies (see "Woman" or "U Got It"), or calling out fakers on the 'Net (peep the now-classic Rawkus release "Internet MC's"), Ak approaches every topic and style with equal dexterity, proving why his buzz just won't die down for anything. Ak is about to begin a European tour that will take him to 8 countries, and will also hit the road in the U.S. before the end of a busy 2001. Expect more from the Boston-born-and-raised MC/producer whose self-titled EP on Detonator Records is still making worldwide noise.
