The
next occasion I had a chance to interact with him was during a
pitch for a truly awesome project I was working on at the time
called Exile. Together in our team room Steven sat with me, my
boss and our general manager brainstorming ways to beef up the
existing storyline for the game. A meeting that was originally
intended to be twenty minutes turned into about an hour and a
half. It was about 9am but after my boss pitched the concept and
Steven walked about the room taking in a wealth of artwork from
storyboards to more polished conceptual pieces it was like a bright
light came on in his head. He began spouting out ideas quicker
than my shaky hands could jot them down. I chimed in once in a
while but it was far more exciting for me to hear how he formulated
his ideas than to for me to try to impress him with any of my
own. It was an exhilarating experience and one that ultimately
inspired me to continue research on how I was going to get The
Kingston High made.
