I had a friend at the William Morris agency that I'd met after being featured in the LA times for my comic book who had coverage done on the script. The William Morris readers ripped the previous two scripts I'd turned in to shreds so I was ready to take my coverage beating like a man. But when I got a call saying that they wanted to pass it around to a few agents there I knew it must have been decent.

Ultimately the script received adulation by many but another USC student's project, The Wood, was hot off the press and it seemed my story was just too similar for any one to get overly jazzed about it. This was a serious bummer and it was when I began toying with the idea of shooting it myself which I knew would be a daunting task.
