There was no way I could raise that type of money (over $100,000) anytime soon so I scrapped the 35mm plan. A few close friends raised eyebrows when I shunned this approach but I had reasons for this. As soon as you bring in investors its no longer 100 percent your vision and I knew I'd only have one chance to make a first film. Moreover, if anything went terribly wrong I didn't want to have the added stress of knowing that I had a lot of people counting on getting their money back. So with these things in mind I opted for the credit card/life saving route.

I knew I had a small window of opportunity to make the film and the time had come to make the concrete decision to do it.
